RR PTA Goals and Strategies
The Rocky Run PTA will:
- Expand parent and community involvement in the school and PTA:
- Increase PTA membership among parents 10%.
- Increase membership among teachers 50%.
- Provide parental involvement information in the newsletter and website.
- Enhance communications:
- Provide information about legislation and regulations, which impact our school.
- Encourage teams to submit articles to newsletter.
- Increase community awareness within local newspapers concerning school events.
- Continue electronic information distribution group.
- Increase electronic delivery of newsletter to 65%.
- Translate newsletter and other important PTA messages into Spanish for publication on website.
- Provide opportunities for parents to expand their knowledge about parenting and the school:
- Use Rocky Run Home Page and newsletter to offer parenting and other school information.
- Sponsor programs in conjunction with other schools to provide information about the school system and parenting.
- Provide programs to enrich student’s education:
- Provide diverse cultural arts programs.
- Support health and safety programs for students.
